Welcome. My name is Ilyas Wan Wei Hsien, and this weblog is a place where I’d like to work through some ideas about things that matter to me: God, life, the Bible, Christianity and the cosmos. (That’s pretty much everything, isn’t it?) This site used to have the more sophisticated (and foreign) name of Bumi Dipijak (an explanation for which had to be given in my first post), but has been renamed after my favorite sculpture on the campus of my alma mater.
I am a Malaysian of Chinese descent, born and raised in the port city of Klang on the west coast of the Peninsula. After studying and working in the United States for close to 11 years, I moved back to my hometown in May of 2008.
The opinions and insanities expressed here are entirely my own and should not be taken to represent that of my particular Church or any Person of the Trinity.
